Michael Johnson
Chair

Michael Johnson is the former Chief of Prosecution for the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia and the former Acting Deputy Chief Prosecutor for the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda. From 2004-2006, he served as Chief Administrator of the Bosnia and Herzegovina War Crimes Chamber, overseeing the creation of the nation's first war crimes tribunal. Mr. Johnson is currently a Senior Fellow at the United States Institute for Peace.

Prior to his involvement in the international justice sector, Mr. Johnson served for twenty years as a District Attorney in the United States, and as the Chair of the American Bar Association's National Criminal Justice Standard's Committee. He is the Chair of Humanity in Action, a human rights organization studying minority rights, and a former Chair of the International Criminal Justice Resource Center.
